If you do not see the OSI tab, then your access to the OSI module is restricted. Please consult your manager or the Help Desk for assistance.
NOTES
Use the TAB key to move from one field to the next.
All SAP Data Elements are validated as the data is entered, either immediately or when you save the entry.
Go to OSI > OSI Entry.
The OSI Entry browse screen appears.
Click Add.
The OSI Entry data entry screen appears
Enter the unit number
or click , select a
unit from the drop-down list, and click OK.
The Unit Name, Frequency, and Week End Date fill in automatically.
NOTES
Hourly data should only be entered toward the end of the month, based on the weekly email received from the Buffalo Service Center.
You may receive a message to update the Payroll Accrual Setup/Update in Maintenance > Units before you can enter the hourly data.
Enter the hourly data as appropriate:
Non-union Hourly
Union Hourly
Admin Manager
Press the TAB key.
The bottom of the screen displays the OSI data lines.
For each line marked Req., enter a value in the Entered Amount column.
The lines where data already appears in the Entered Amount column contain data from other UFS modules and are filled in automatically. Do not change this data.
The remaining lines with Req. appearing in the Required column need your input.
The data that appears in the OSI is all the data that was entered during the current week ending date, regardless of the actual transaction date of the data.
If you enter data for the current week with a transaction date of the previous or any other week, the data will appear on the OSI for the current week.
When you are finished entering the OSI data, click Save.
Click Close to return to the OSI Entry browse screen.
Repeat this procedure for any additional units, as applicable.
NOTES
In subsequent weeks, the OSIs for the current month will appear in the data browse window. However, you cannot edit these OSIs once they have been transmitted.
Upon completing a New Week Setup to the new month, and waiting for the overnight processing to take place, these OSI entries will be removed from the screen.
NOTE
You cannot edit an OSI entry that has been transmitted.
Go to OSI > OSI Entry.
The OSI Entry browse screen appears.
Select an OSI entry and click Edit.
The OSI Entry edit screen appears
Make any allowable changes to the data. (Grayed-out fields cannot be changed.)
Click Save.
Click Close.
NOTE
You cannot remove an OSI entry that has been transmitted.
Go to OSI > OSI Entry.
The OSI Entry browse screen appears.
Select an OSI entry and click Remove.
A confirmation message appears.
Click Yes.
